The North Caroline Science, Mathematics and Technology Education Center (SMT Center) honored students who excel in STEM competitions and programs, as well as teachers who create special environments in the classroom and beyond to cultivate STEM curiosity, at its annual celebration on April 15.
Riley Johnson was recognized for his achievements as the GRAND AWARD winner at the NC Science and Engineering Fair at NCState (NCSEF) and was picked to represent NC at the International Science and Engineering Fair in Dallas, Texas in May.
Dr. Bailey was recognized for being the Science Teacher of the Year 2019. He won the award prior to becoming our Assistant Principal, but is just now able to be honored due Covid shutdowns that followed his being named.
