I am extremely excited to be a part of this brand new adventure in Buncombe County. I have a heart for helping and love to see the spark that happens when kids find their place. I love that I get to be a part of encouraging future generations to pursue, embrace and find a passion that not only changes the way they think, but the way the world thinks.
In 2003, I graduated from UNCA with a degree in Sociology and spent several years working with homeless veterans at our local shelter, ABCCM. I obtained my Masters in School Counseling from Western Carolina University and am a National Certified Counselor. From 2005-2014 I served as the school counselor at AC Reynolds High School, my own alma mater. Before Reynolds, I worked as a counselor at a private PK-8th grade school in Hendersonville.
I have two young sons (Graham and Davis), and enjoy creating fun DIY projects, crafting, baking, and pretending I'm a photographer. You can find me near the chocolate and coffee.
Make sure to check out the counseling website for FAQs by students and parents as well as updates.
